I met Tuan, one of the young workers Mom was helping this past Christmas during our mission trip to Malaysia. He has a powerful story of how he became a follower of Christ.

He was contracted from Vietnam to work in a shoe factory in Malaysia.  Due to the long-term exposure to harmful substances in glue and rubber, he became sick and his nose would bleed constantly. 
Tuan didn't tell his manager about his condition because he was afraid of him, for his manager did not treat the workers well and Tuan did not want to get into trouble.  A month had gone by and Tuan's friends (who also worked at the factory) went and told the manager of his condition because it got to a point that streams of blood would come down from the nose.  The manager said he would look into taking him to the hospital once the busy season was over.  2 weeks passed by and Tuan still had not gotten any medical attention.  He finally got the courage to ask the manager to take him to a hospital.  To Tuan's surprise, the manager took him to the hospital.  But he soon realized that he was on his own because the manager had just dropped him off at the hospital and left him there with no money and no insurance and he could not speak Chinese, Malay or English to get someone to help him.

For 2 days, no one noticed Tuan.  He spent 2 days outside the hospital with no food and just water from the drinking fountain.  Finally someone noticed him and connected Tuan with 2 Australian missionaries who helped him with the paper work and paid for the medical bill.  The missionaries knew of Mom's Ministry and thought Mom could further help Tuan and contacted her.  She came to the hospital and that was how Tuan got connected with her.  Mom took Tuan in and provided food and shelter and most of all provided a sense of hope though Jesus Christ.  Tuan was baptized 2 weeks after he met Mom.

What an incredible testimony!  But what was even more amazing is that Tuan says he has no hatred towards his manager who basically just left him there in front of the hospital to die.  He says he's not angry with him but prays everyday that the manager would have the same chance he had to get to know Christ so that manager could receive the same love and mercy that has been shown to Tuan by Jesus Christ!

How powerful is that?  Tuan is able to forgive his manager who had mistreated him and wronged him.  I saw Jesus when I met Tuan.  Looking back and reflecting in my life, I saw that I held on to grudges and sometimes was not able to forgive others.  I wonder how many times did my family, friends, and other people see Jesus in me?  Being a Christian, I am supposed to be Christ-like and I know I falter from time to time.  But meeting Tuan and hearing his testimony really encouraged me because God is faithful!  If you believe and have faith in God, He will guide you through any difficulties life throws at you.
